Hi Todd which part of Wakey are you in? I used to use Bannatynes but it was too expensive about 50 quid a month.. Some of the sport centers offer good value, I've trained at Rothwell sports center & it has some good equipment..The main thing is to get a routine worked out & stick to it..My routine is an every other day split,Pushing movements one day:- chest ,shoulders & triceps..A days rest & then Pulling:- back, biceps & legs.If your trying to lose some weight you will need to put some cardio in there as well. Get one of the guy's who run the gym to do you a programme showing exercises etc..If you cant PM me & I'll give you a few tips. The main thing is sticking with it until it becomes a habit, workouts should only last 30 mins + cardio so it doesn't take long..
Good luck,Steve

todd i use JJB gym at birstal dont know if you have one in wakey, i pay £30 a month off peak(830 - 5) week days great facilitys and lots of instructors who you can book to work you out a fitness plan. you could also try your doctor because in my area (kirklees) you can get a fitness pass allowing you free access to your local council owned sports centres gym if on a low income
