Couldn't get to sleep early this morning and at about 2am everything was covered. I woke up at 6.30 and by then only a bit had melted but by now most of it is gone. I don't want it to snow because I want to go fishing ;D.

i went fly fishing at toft newton in lincolnshire today, hail storm blizzards and gale force winds where awful and had to take cover. however, i managed to snaffle 3 trout out, beat my dad and brother so good day out, hopefully going for fishing tomorrow to catch some roach.

Well its put paid to my little jaunt this morning. The track to our local dam is a bit steep in places, and I don't fancy getting stuck halfway up there, if I cant make it ! The Bofmobile can loose traction on damp grass with these new energy efficient tyres, I dont need snow to complicate things. BOF

;D Snow you call this snow, i remember back in the old days when pork and chicken tasted like pork and chicken and not water treated cardboard aye, we had snow then up too a 7 year olds waist that lasted all week proper snow you could make into snow balls so cold the middle would turn to ice so in a snow ball fight you could give your opponant concussion and no health and safety folks saying you need crash helmets and goggles just too sneeze. no talk of global warming in those days it were girls tights on under your jeans too keep your legs warm a string vest , t shirt, shirt and a jumper your gran had knitted you in hidious dayglow orange and wellington boots lol. and this was in Brighton chortle you try and tell the kids these days they just don't believe ya regards Malc an old codger

Can you remember when your jumpers got wet, they used to get longer and longer till they where down to your ankles. ;D ;D and weighed about three ton lol As for chicken and pork lol my gran used to get it for sunday dinner sometimes , but they could afford it as my grandad worked on wiring up power stations in places like Dubai. The great family sunday lunch with cabbage that has been boiled all week swede mashed too a pulp with loads of pepper broad beans , butter beans roast potato's that were so crisp that there was no longer any potato left apart from a very small nuggets of soft stuff right in the middle that was so hot when you bit into it it made your eyes water and all the skin peel off the roof of your mouth. but you did get flavour from the pork lol and wow what crackling really salty and the jiuce running down your chin from the softer fat (my mouth is watering just thinking about it lol) yummy. Don't forget pudding home made apple pie with home made pastry full of butter i can hear my arteries screaming even now and lashings of Birds custard made with gold top milk and then just to finish off some nice thick double cream lol. not really suprising i'm 20 stone lol regards fatty malc.
