Has anyone fished the lake up there?

Theres no fishing on the lake in the complex and to be honest doesnt appear to have any fish life in it. The fishing is at Whinns pond a few miles away off site (Near Penrith) and is a nice looking place. We fished it earlier in the summer for half a day and caught roach and perch all day but nothing bigger. Talking to the locals the better stamp of fish are caught on the wooded side. You need to drive up past the pond to the farmhouse to get the day tickets, bait etc, from a really nice old lady but she cant half talk, ask her about the two guys who got stung by a bees if youve got an hour to kill LOL
