Nearly missed this one Joel. Its been some years since "Her Indoors" and I used the place. We stayed there when we had the caravan. It was a cracking venue to fish during the week. Personally I found it a bit crowded from Fridays onward, but I emphasize, that was much later in the year. Her Indoors doesnt do "cold", ever. So it would be after the Spring bank holiday that we would be visiting the place. Which may influence my idea of the place a bit. Sorry I cant give you up to date information, as of recent years I have stuck to the river fishing when down there. This you have to book in advance, but I would have a word with the baliff on reception anyway, as he always seemed to know what is going on. BOF

Big Pit reels are a bit of a luxury. Ok to have them, but ordinary size 40 / 50, (4000 or 5000 in some manufacturers terms) are plenty big enough for most lakes, and anglers abilities. What are your basic reels now? For that matter what are your rods? Its no good getting some all singing and dancing super reels, if your rods won't cast the distance anyway. BOF
