I really don't know how to respond to this . Primarily, the main reason waters have a pike problem is due to the removal of them by "anglers" who decide there is an issue. Individuals should not be attempting to deal with "perceived" problems, but either the EA, or a qualified consultant, should be brought in to assess the situation. Taking all but the smallest of pike from a water can potentially lead to an explosion of jacks, which is just about the worst case scenario for any fishery. Furthermore, I would ask what is going to happen to the pike you remove? If they are to be transferred to another water you must have section 30 consent from the EA, failure to do so is breaking the law. Rob

If any course anglers have a problem with trout or salmon I will happily come and remove them for the price of a ticket, . Also any match anglers suffering from an excess of large carp in their waters please pm me, section 30 can be arranged if the right 30 lb'ers come along. ;D
