Hello,I have never tried the little Shrimps that you find in our rivers as bait but have just read an old book which recommends using them.Has anyone reading this ever used them & have you had any success with them? Thanks.

That fish eat them is a cert. But I haven't used them myself. Good luck on catching them, from the water concerned. Please do not transfer them from water to water. They can carry all kinds of diseases + acting as intermediate hosts for various parasites. BOF

These shrimps are used by flyfishermen all the time, obviously a fly tied to immitate them. I've caught lots of trout, grayling and the odd chub on them especially in very bright colours.

Peterpiker, Never used them myself, but a friend swears by them when fishing for Crucian carp.
