Hello All
I am sure we all take different kinds of food when we go fishing - thought it would be interesting to share what we take.
What about saying what is both your Summer fodder and your Winter wares?
Here goes mine:-
Summer - Lots of pop, cheese sarnies, lots of crisps and chocolate bars (healthy huh!!!)
Winter - Water for my kettle, instant coffee or soup sachets, bacon/bread (obviously need a stove) - and yes cheese sarnies, crisps and pop
Mines not very interesting so hope to pick up some tips!
PS ; I always find a flask goes cold too quicky!!

Two comments:- 1) if you are eating that lot, you are bored, probably because you are fishing a lake. So try float fishing on a river. 2)Your flasks are rubbish, and need replacing, try here:- tinyurl.com/ycnmbbWhen Winter Chubbing I rarely stay in one swim for more than an hour or so. If I haven't had fish from the swim in that time, I won't. If I am catching, I don't have time to eat much. This means I need as flexible a system as possible, and one as light as I can make it. So stoves, fuel, and pans are out. Therefore I take two flasks, one a litre flask of coffee, the other a 0.5lt of soup. Add a sandwich or two, and a loaf of thick slice white bread, and thats my lot. The bread by the way doubles as a dip for my soup, and bait for the fish. ;D Good luck BOF

A bag of jelly babies, great source of instant energy when roaming on the rivers, especially on cold winter days.
Before any decent session I find a full English can't be beaten to keep one full throughout the day/night.
Snowman.
