The first fish I can remember was a perch caught at Harold Park.
Been one of my favourite fish ever since.

My first fish was also a Perch from Huddersfield Narrow Canal at Linthwaite....I think I was about 7 years old.
My Uncle showed me how to unhook it properly without getting spiked!
Bawny ;D

IIRC my first fish was a bleak. Can't remember the last time I heard of them.

My first fish was when I was on holiday on the west coast of Scotland. That was about 15 years ago (I'm now 22!). I was sea fishing. My dad set up the rods for himself, me and my mum. He cast it out. Then he put it down.....After about 5 minutes, I picked up the rod and felt a tug....My dad came over, and I said that I think I have a fish on, (he thought I caught weed! hehe!) I reeled in and I caught my first Saithe.

In common with most kids of my generation the first fish I caught was a small Perch, (followed by Minnows, loads of 'em). But I can remember my first Carp like it was yesterday. Well done that man. BOF

My first fish was a perch out of Roundhay park. Used to sneak onto the mooring first thing and drop a line around / under the boats.
I remember catching a small trout from collingham as well.

My first fish came out of the River Ure in Boroughbridge while fishing with my Dad, Uncle, Cusan and Grandad. I think it was either a small perch or small roach. I also caught my second fish there on the same day. I was the only to catch aswell so I was chuffed with my tiny fish that I had caught ;D I was so excited that I was walking back in the dark not watching where I was going and I fell in !!
