speaking of specs i have been looking round the net for the last couple of days for a decent cheap pair of polarized sunglasses as i nearly blinded myself at royds hall at the weekend, lost my last pair anyone have any suggestions of where to get some, or specific types ?

If you are using them in this country in the main, I would go for the Amber lensed ones. They are much better for the quantity of light we get, at the angles we see. You just see more of what is going on underwater. BOF

Hi Mal,
My convertibles were bought at York market for £3.99. I’ve seen the same ones for sale in an options for £19.99!
I agree with BOF amber is probably the best colour, although I also find grey useful sometimes. Brown lenses are just to dark, except for driving into the sun.

I've just used Glassesdirect for a pair of single vision glasses for VDU work (also handy for tackling up but that honestly wasn't a consideration when getting my employer to pay for them ). Excellent service, spot-on prescription and the rimless frames are of excellent quality for £57.50 all-in. Cheers Dave

Rodders try Maff at Westgate Anglers, I bought two different pairs. Shakespere £12 and Eye level £ same price I think?. Both pairs good quality for the dosh and you don't mind losing em at that price!
