Has anyone tryed carp fishing on the river ebro in spain i have not been carping in spain yet but i wouldn't mind going because i heard it was quit good my mate gone and he had a good few up to 45lb.....

Yes it is good fun but probably best to do some research and get a guide at least to get you started. It is a massive river and standard carp rods are no good. I got lucky when I went as the area I stayed in was just below an island which enabled me to fish with standard tackle,but normally you need at least 6oz leads to even have a chance of holding bottom. It flows fast and hard.

Hi.
We are going again to Ginestar and Mequenenza on the Ebro on the 17th Jan for about 9 weeks.
Last year we caught over 31 over 20lbs, 13 over 40lbs, 1 @ 52.2lbs, lots below 20lbs.
Can't beat a motorhome, parked at the side of the river!. ;D
