Funny you should be looking for somewhere in Ireland as I am also looking for somewhere. I've spoken to an Irish lad here at work (not a fishman) and he recons that a place called Athlone west of Dublin is pritty central and not too expensive. I am thinking of going in early April But I have never been there fishing before. If anyone can surggest somwhere with good fishing and good accommadation write in and let me know.

Guys,
Don't want to put you off, as Ireland is a fantastic place to go....................but, the fishing is nothing like what it used to be. I went every year for 13 years, but stopped going a few years ago cos we spent more time in the van trying to find fish than we did fishing. All you could see was anglers stood looking at stretches, wondering if they could catch!! I do not know what has happened to the fish, but the days of a ton are long gone. Still, the Guiness is good!!
