snap! ;D i'm off on the Broads 16th June for a weeks fishing, moored at Stalham, usually do Wroxham, Potter Heigham and Hickling, all the usual spots. dont do the south section of Broads past Yarmouth, gets really busy on way to Norwich and fishing not as good all in all its fishing well at the moment, very good all over for slabs on feeder, though if eels your thing youll be disaapointed as they have dropped off totally. fingers crossed for good weather! plenty of beer me thinks + crackin curry spot at Wroxham Taste of India

The big supply store at Potter Heigham used to sell the largest maggots i have seen, they were also blue in colour and smelt of gas if i remember. My uncle had a boat down there moored up in the boat yard at potter heigham. Not anymore now as i believe it sunk !!!!!!!! Was about 22 years ago !!!
The fishing was good all over the broads then. Also had some of the best cider i have tasted at a place called Lodden, big chunks of apple still floating in it.

been going down to this area for about 9/10 years....even moving there in the next few months as met a lass in malia (greece) and she lives there....
Got to admit the fishing has really gone downhill in the past 3/4 years since the major floods a few years back use to be able to chuck a feeder out anywhere and pick up roach bream etc.....not now tho......best of going in the boat yards......

just got back from a scorching 5 days on the broads
apart from a great sun tan we had a great weeks fishing, bagging up at most spots, which when considering last year it fished poorly was a welcome surprise
we fished thurne mouth, thurne dyke, acle, irstead, bennets abbey, stokesby
in a 3 hour session at thurne mouth i had 117lb of bream! ;D
all fished using the broads recommended groundbait mix and simple feeder tactics
my mates, who were total novices, fishing float or bombed maggot also caught well
also mr eel made an appearance a few times!!!!

Well done sir, proof if needed that there is still good fishing to be had from the Broads. Those Thurne pike dont go over 40lb for nowt!

I just got back from the Broads today and the weather wasn't great but the fishing was, last nights session was the best at Acle, loads of bream and a couple of really nice perch as well as a few roach, but I got sick of the eels though.
A bloke who worked in the boat yard recorded there had been a 42lb Pike out last week I think I might read up on Pike fishing and maybe have a go next year, Would of loved to fished for Pike this year as I saw a few big uns on the surface but I haven't got the gear or knowledge (yet) to go after them.
