hi peggy
hill view lakes and touring park near hogsthorpe on the main road just north of chapel st leonards has a very good carp lake.floating chum mixers account for a lot of fish in the summer.Well worth taking a look.

I'll do some sort of write up when I get back. It will be interesting because not only will I have son of with me. But daughters times 2 want to have a go which should be entertaining. Guarenteed that one of em will show me up by bagging a big un.

The boating lake pond must have gone downhill since I lived in Skeggy. There were always lots of people fishing, and there were fish over 30lb which were claimed, by many folk. Dave

Hi peggy. Breamy is spot on with herons mead, its a cracking fishery. It is brimming with tench and carp which will take just about any bait you put in front of them.but i have found alternating between luncheon meat /cat meat and pellet will keep the fish coming all day.We visit skeggy at least once a year for a weeks fishing, and herons mead is always top of our list to fish. But to be fair your spoilt for choice, with lots of venues in the area which can produce a great days fishing. If you do decide to visit herons mead i guarantee you will not be disappointed.Let us know how you get on, good luck. Regards Russ.
