It's one of those places that even without it's history is just so wonderful.. The carp I'm pictured with was the average size for the weekend we were there but that didn't matter. Some even managed to catch a few gudgeon If you ever get the chance to fish it, do so. It may be a shadow of it's former self as far as fish go, but the setting and history make it a very nice place to spend a weekend with friends. For the photographers among you it offers some stunning opportunities as well.

So how do you go about getting a ticket for it Jorvik, do you need to become a Carp Society Member?
Thanks Jon

Hi All, Used to be society members, dunno now. My old feller and his mate fished it a few years back and had a good time, and my mate got visited by the famous ghost-twice! and supposed to be well haunted and notoriously bad-tempered there has been much written about it even in the passion for angling book, if yer gonna go take that Derek Akora with ya!
