andrew,
I'm confused now mate, is this the bit that Rob has got or is this another one taken over by Wrigglesworms?, what about the pond in the field, is that included?
I may be going to Lodge Farm Tuesday so I might go check out this stretch.

My ex-club used to have this stretch, but decided to do nothing with it, and gave it up. It does have some very nice swims, and a decent head of fish. Unfortunately a lot of the banks are like a cross between the north face of the Eiger and a jungle, to the point where I didn't feel safe sitting on top of the banks. Credit that someone has taken it on and decided to develop it. We also had a cracking stretch of the Dearne which suffered the same problem, hence why I am no longer a member of the club.

I'll probably get a permit but I need to get a look at the place first to make sure I can actually get to the pegs. I made the mistake last year of buying the Catcliffe Rother book on a mates recommendation only to find most, if not all the pegs were not accessible to me because the bank was too steep etc.

Been told by a mate today that the banks on this stretch are pretty steep so it'll be interesting to see some Pics andrew. I've been at Lakeside today but didn't have time to go via Mattersey on way home

the big fish are really from the lake called clearwater at the side
thr river flooded over into the lake allowing the carp to get out
