Suggsy, i know what you mean.. i had 15 lb 13 oz of silvers until i managed to get 3 carp in the margins in the last half hour, Sqeeky had a good net of silvers as well , i was almost surrounded by people catching carp all match, you work your butt off on the silvers but takes a lot of them to equal a carp.. Well done to the winners, I must learn how to exploit end peg draws , they tend to be my bogey ( too many possibilities) Good day all round really though, thanks to Mick and Phil for organising. Weather was very kind for a change.
Reading the various comments re silvers v carp ,what about a couple of Silvers Only matches at some stage so that the Silvers lads can shine a bit - maybe next autumn as part of next winter series ? Add a bit of interest to the format.

Some pics from yesterday  Paul with his match winning net of 33 lb 02 oz well fished   Yours truly with the net of carp weighing 13 lb and i cant find the pic of my silvers   Justbits and Sqeeky both with nets of 24 lb 15 oz for a joint third place  Slowhandgreg with his fifth placed net weighing 17 lb 03 oz There should be a pic of Ians massive carp.. and the relief cameraman with be flogged before being publicly disembowled at the next match  Gary with his net of 11 lb 14 oz  Geoff with his net of 11 lb 1 oz |

Good news for me cos 7th doesnt clash with my Decoy trip so I've a straight choice between Owl Barn and Scunthorpe at home- think I'll be fishing! |
