Top angling Shaun, another great day that turned out to be better than was forecast (weather wise)or was it just me that was in a sheltered spot venue fished really well for this time of year think we haver been unlucky a couple of times here in the past with cold nights and rain, looking forward to the next one,
Well done Shaun top angling mate the venue fished a lot better than I expected which was good .Nice to see the guys again and have a bit of a laugh.A big thanks to phill Mick and Paul for running the match seevyou all later in the year hopefully .
To Wardens weather point - yes you were in a sheltered spot I think cos I was ruddy frozen at my end of the pond , my pole tip was bouncing with the shivering , culmination of the cold wind all day I think. I was a bit of a spectator most of match the watching Paul and Kel bag up which was entertaining enough. Don't mind the place personally but would encourage you to consider leaving out peg 12 next autumn if possible as it seems very wind susceptible (especially a cold wind) I only caught my five fish when the wind dropped occasionally , don't know if it's equally skewed when the warm summer wind is blowing into it ?? Mick and Kel did refer to it as the "hit or bust" peg (or something similar). Still it was nice to see the great and good assembled once more and Wardens "modelling" of the YF clothing collection rivaled Paris Fashion week! There was also some very lively and entertaining debate about football managers, I think Suggsy needs a voodoo doll of the new guy at Leeds !!! Thanks to the organizers again for an interesting venue and day - shame about the weather but it is autumn !!!!!! On top of that, Blades lost so Crofton was not happy when I spoke to him !! See Y'all at next one hopefully, Hope the "Carbon Droop" has cleared up by then Greg !!!!!!
