Sorry its taken so long to get these organised the cold spell freezing over a lot of the waters we might have gone for have put us back a bit but we have booked Lowfields as a good bet against the freezing weather that can still be around at this time of year mick will put the others up as soon as he can. Hi all
Have been to olivers lake at ben lee today.what a great day plenty of silver fish from the off did not have to wait long for my first fish a skimmer on red maggot about 4oz at 6 meters to my left. this started a steady run of silver of the same size.
Then started a second swim with pellets at 6 meters to my right started to catch striaght away a fish a chuck.
then went over to the island at 12 meters cupped in some pellets left for about 10 mins
in the mean time went back to the first swim decided to cup in some chopped worm /caster fished over that with caster and a piece of chopped worm had a 2lb ide a bit of a surprise after having a couple of skimmers after that went out to island swim first put in had a carp about a pound and a half that was a surprise then had one or two skimmers/roach.
then i thought i would give the swim on the right a go with bread flake had a fish with in seconds which was follow to a run of about 3 or 4 fish then switch to the left hand swim and had about 6 skimmers / roach in a row that was a surprise.
went over to the island cupped in some pellets and caster and had a couple of skimmers/roach/ide then cupped in more pellets/caster then i two more carp of the same size as before that was a good end to a very enjoyable day.
