Howdi all, It's been quite some time since I've visited this site, and A LOT has changed for me since then. At the start of the year I came down with something quite rare, called CIDP (Google it, if you are curious, but it's not nice). It got to a stage where I couldn't use my legs, I couldn't use my hands, bend my wrists or lift my arms above my head. All in all it was pretty ! So, being that ill I had to move back down South with my partner so I could get well. Well the good news is I'm pretty much there now, still on a load of magical pills which keep my immune system from destroying my nervous system, but (and I genuinely mean this) the one thing that helped me through this time (besides the obvious, my wonderful fiancé and both of our families) was fishing. When I was out fishing, I could sit there are forget everything, and just get on with catching fish. This was done once my hands decided they would work again. Ha! Anyway, I've done quite a lot of fishing in the South West and all the trips can be read on my blog - Paul on Coarse Fishing. But here are a few links to some awesome fisheries you have to try if you are down in this neck of the woods. River Wye Evening Barbel BashDuffryn Springs Res LakeCefn Mably Horseshoe LakeRiverside Fishery Near CaerphillyApologies for not posting all the details from the blog onhere, but it would take too long, and at the moment I only have limited internet. Anyway, hope you enjoy the read, I cannot recommend these venues enough! Best wishes to all and tight lines Paul

Me too. I've fished the Wye a couple of times up at Bridge Sollars and the Red Lion fishery, but not heard about the other places you mention I'll have a read later and get the full s.p. on them. BOF

Morning all! Here is one of my most recent fishing trips. Managed to get a new PB Perch in 3 casts. Was very happy! Then the carp showed up, so I had a bash on them too! Great day out on a fishery that never fails to produce in any conditions. Cefn Mably Lakes - coarsefishingpaul.blogspot.co.uk/

Afternoon all, I've not been out for a while but my last trip before I moved further South can be viewed here! Was a great day on Newport Angling's School Pond. Not hard to see why they have a lot of matches there. Loads of F1's, definite weight builders! Have a read here - coarsefishingpaul.blogspot.co.uk/

A recent relocation has meant I've had to search out new venues and stores. To be honest, it's been tough and I'm still "sussing" things out, but here is my most recent blog post - coarsefishingpaul.blogspot.co.uk/p.s. any local knowledge would be appreciated. Currently live just south of Yeovil.

Evening all! Been getting out and about now that I have settled down and know where a few places are. Have recently put up 2 posts. 1 involved fishing a great silver fish water, which is absolutely stacked full of quality silver fish. The other was a very fishy looking canal which I plan to spend a lot of time on this summer. You can have a read about both here - coarsefishingpaul.blogspot.co.uk

Evening all, Just got a new blog online. Was a great trip to Shearwater and involved a few chunky slabs which makes a change as I normally only catch skimbobs! Had to work to get the bait out there and encounter a bivvy boy who almost ended up on my lap! You can have a read about it all on the link below! coarsefishingpaul.blogspot.co.uk/

Evening all, Just got my most recent fishing blog online. Definitely a tale of 2 halves. Started the morning on a blank, finished on a belter! Shame the season ends soon, and the deluge of rain isn't going to make catching a few more any easier between now and mid March! Still it was a great trip! In the process of writing up today's session at Thorney. Although I caught plenty of fish, fishing in the cold, wet and wind really does take some of the fun out of it! In the mean time I've just updated my blog with the most recent post. Have a read here - coarsefishingpaul.blogspot.co.uk/
