Just a quick hello to everyone who frequents this section before you no doubt see me asking questions somewhere. I'm fairly new to fishing and have been bitten badly. Every chance I get I'm either out, reading about it or making up rigs and bait, much to the annoyance of my other half. The good thing is that I am like a sponge, so I'm picking it all up quickly. I fish for anything really although I've been picking up a lot of bream on the method and the waggler too. I would like to aim more for hard fighters so could well be trying to rivers more though. Anyway, hello and hopefully I can learn and help out where I can too

Welcome mate. The rivers are where the hard fighters are, get some fast water found and they'll all be like athletes!

Thanks folks I'm in horsforth so I've got the choice of the Aire or Wharfe within 10 minutes so I'm going to go exploring. I did have a look down in Kirkstall near the abbey, but needles and cans on the bank meant I didn't look much further.. been told it's better closer to horsforth though but we'll see. Thanks for the welcome.
