After a work related extended break from fishing I finally retired, loose end after all there's only so much washing, vacumning, dusting and polishing a man can do.Decided it was time to get my tackle out, no pun intended, but where to go?, all the venues I fished years ago seemed closed or syndicated, then praise the Lord I stumbled across this forum, spent a couple of weeks perusing, reading ,smiling, annoying the wife by laughing, it's nothing dear just reading about fishing?, then on Wednesday decision made, tackle shop, shed load of money replacing the necessities, fussing about checking double checking, thurs morning in car headed to Farview, met Mick, top bloke, had bacon nutty, but more important had about 15 carp best about 4lb, no 20's didn't have cat food (sorry couldn't resist that),what I'm trying to say in a long winded way is that it's thanks to you guys who take the time and trouble to post on here, that I'm now back in the fold, I doff my piscatorial hat to you all.............hmmmmmmm now where to go next week? ??

Welcome to the site, don't you now have to do MORE washing, vacuuming, dusting and polishing to earn your fishing pass?

Welcome aboard mate, nice little story. I think sometimes people don't realise how inspiring their posts can be to many. There will be plenty of others who have done similar to you, or tried something different after seeing what others get up to. Enjoy your fishing mate and keep sharing it with us!

Thanks for all the welcome notes, beachball my first childhood isn't over yet so I'll look forward to the second one, musselman she used to being on her own as I spent last 15 years working away from home so no change there any way she's still working, somebody has to pay for my fishing and bait?,Eyghon MORE washing dusting ironing......never,oh hang on a minute brb I think the washers done , there goes my credulity still as long as I stick to her rules I should be OK
Rule 1....the wife is always right Rule 2....if the wife is wrong rule 1applies
Again many thanks for the warm welcome
Bob
