Just read on another site that at the Oaks you are not allowed to put your net/s in until 15 mins before the start ? , have to check to morrow .

As it stands at the moment, all sites making 12 or more anglers are putting in two teams with 9 teams in total as follows: - TA - 13 anglers (1 team of 6 - 1 team of 7) YorkshireFishing.net 12 anglers - (2 teams of 6) Total Fishing - 12 anglers (2 teams of 6) THE BIG BASH - 15 anglers (1 team of 7 - 1 team of 8) Yorkshire Match Anglers - 7 anglers (1 team of 7) I am not 100% how the final weights will be worked out i.e. best of the 6 forums weights or on individual teams however based on the above only 3 of those teams have 1 extra angler/drop weight and 1 team with 2 drop weights so there is only a very marginal advantage. Even if its the 6 best from 1 forum those with more will still have a very slight advantage. We were given the opportunity to fill as many spaces as we wanted and managed to s e 2 teams in. I personally would feel like we were taking the Mickey to put in 1 team of 12 with half the weights dropped and am defiantely not taking it that serious.... At the end of the day it al just for a bit of fun, win, lose, draw i dont really care (i have an excuse as finny is on my team). There are optional pools for ayone wanting to add a bit of individual competition to it. Not sure if this was to be announced yet or on the day, however YF also have a trophy for the best YF weight on the day. With everyones weight counting at least it keeps you motivated through the match as well as whatever you end up with will count for your team. Looking forward to the day, fishing and banter.... PS: Hammy, as captains are we having a shandy on it ;D

Bit of a funny one to work out with those numbers but as you say at the end of the day we are only fishing for team bragging rights . With only that amount of anglers we are going to be well spread out over 2 lakes which should help the fishing
PS hammy put a barrel on it ;D ;D ;D

Guys, Exact format has been explained, please read below.... Please note, the rules are not for discussion, TA have kindly organised the event and we have agreed to fish it on their terms.. Only after knowing numbers could the final team rules be concluded but hopefully the above explains all.. I feel sorry for all on my team as it looks like i wall be picking your pegs... ;D PS: Is it too late for a team practice session

Will the sections will be in blocks of five anglers who have entered the pools? Bit of a numpty question, but I genuinely don't know how it works.

As far as i understand it mate, which eliminates the section win by default if they are the only ones paid in the 5. The section could be 8/9 anglers with only 5 paying in the pools and having a chance to win it.

i dont think me and me bro in for pools depends on money on the day like does this matter Absolutely not mate, the additional £10 pools is purely optional for those who want it.. Not everyone will or is expected to pay in to the pools pot...
