When I last looked Scunny were strictly stone age ie you have to GO and get one. But I will check again and see if anything has changed. BOF

Mmmm, John Alexander perhaps.
If scunny do take it over i hope they allow carp fishing but i doubt it, they are a bit stuck in a time warp like BOF says.

personally im over the moon that scunthorpe have taken over marshlands, [and i heard this via a very good source} because they are more match angler orientated than hull and district and will probably run very good matches on here,and john is right about the carp, my friend mick fenwick won a match at marshlands this year with 102lb of bream, great fishing and he only had to travel 10 miles from hull to catch it [like fishing in ireland in the old days] will definately be buying a scunny book, so well done to them.

BOF i would take these numbers off the site if i was one of the moderators .because i know terry bontoft very very well , and i know he is no longer the match booking sec [i believe it is wendy thornton} and i dont think terry would be very happy if rang up for a match booking on marshlands on boxing day lol. also in addition to the above waters i believe scunthorpe also have the 3 rivers section { a superb pike water, and tench in the summer} so i am told , and i may be wrong but all for the very modest year book charge of £14, got to be the best value book [having just secured marshlands} in the uk.

I can only go on what is published on the web shaunshaun. If the club can't be bothered to put up to date info out there, we can hardly be blamed for using what is published*. However if you do know the correct details for the club / official contacts etc please feel free to put them up on here. BOF *Meantime I will highlight the offending details and hope that no one will use them.

ok here goes for the full info, as bof says all above waters but also they have marshlands and dunham bridge {and the small lake at dunham} they do not have the aire and calder as i wrongly stated on another post. secretary m. storey tel 07717748523 match secretary and match bookings wendy thornton 07880774279 or email wendythornton15@msn.com
yearbooks are £17 senior concesionary are £8.50 {disabled or oap}
superb value for money me thinks
Comment from BOF, worth it for Dunham on its own I would have thought.

I think there is going to be a bit of a surge in Scunny season books then. £17 a year is a bargain

10 year lease starts 1st January although not listed in the 2010 book as that was already on print run.

Sounds good to me then. I will have to try and email them to see how I can get a book. I wonder if there will be a special xmas deal on bridge tickets haha

yes it would be ace if they drop the price of the bridge toll to £1 like they are proposing to do.

Can't see that every happening mate. Too much debt owed on the bridge. I've had a reply from Wendy confirming that they have a 10 year lease on Marshland's starting 1st jan.
£17 what a bargain
