Don't use light lines as the fish drag you into the nearest snag, lots of sunken tree's so be prepared to hit and hold, as some of them are double figure fish.

fished my match yesterday 1st 86lb peg 8 2nd 53lb peg 6 then weights dropped to the 20lb mark i think due to the rain we had all week. Winners method was 11mm pellet up to lillys.I drew peg 12 and started with the pellet and bomb cast up to a line of trees in front of me and didnt have a bite for two hours so tried meat and pellet at ten meters with nothing.Last option was to go under the tree to my left with pole and meat i ended up with a carp around 7lb one about 3lb and a couple of small skimmers for 12lb.everbody on the lake found it hard going and a lot blanked.

unlucky gringo you caught it on an off day and unlucky on drawing peg 12 ive drawn it last 2 times ive been here it is not a good peg like you i wasted time fishing across to the trees and in 1 match caught 2 chub in the other not a bite dont write it off as it is normally a great venue where everybody catches pretty well as i said in earlier post i had 50lb for nowhere on last match mick
