I understand the person who has this lake he also used to have Hayfields near Doncaster, He is also going to build a cafe and tackle shop in the next year or so from what i hear on the grapevine, Technically this venue is in in East Yorkshire
OOOOps sorry for my dodgy geography !! Yep, east Yorkshire it is. I heard the same, Steve, Robin had Hayfield, and the new lake when he starts this winter will be massive. If he starts it like hayfield, he is onto a winner, he does know what he is doing.
I fished on this pond 2 weeks ago.we had a match on Sunday morning between friends and junior anglers,in total there were 28 of us but i think it has a total of 40 pegs. The fishery is situated just off the Hull road past kexby bridge and is on the road to Sutton on derwent, you cant miss it as there is a large sign up on a new brick wall.I have been told the pond has been stocked with many small carp and a few really large ones but cant confirm this. You can tell this is a new venture as everything was spotless, and the fences and pegs are all brand new.i think because it was so new the fish were a bit wary and out of 28 anglers only 8 or 9 caught anything ,the lad who won managed to get his pole over to one of the 2 small islands and i think got about 20lbs.I managed to get one fish a small roach but quite a few people didnt even get a bite, this will be a superb fishery but at the moment things are settling down.I took a photo and will try and post it below
