Anyone have any tips for fishing drains at all. The issue I have is that fishes brilliant when it still. One it's run on or off, it flows at such a rate its like the Trent.
Depth wise its prob 5-6ft, no more than 10m wide, hold 3lb+ Perch, loads Silvers, Skimmers, and odd bonus Tench, Carp and Bream.
Pole fishing it always produces. Would you just use heavier rigs, olivettes etc to combat the flow when it does run on and off?
From the very few people that do fish it, they seem to almost lay on with a light rig in any flow, but such a rate of flow that the float spends 90% of the time under the surface anyway, which to me defeats the purpose.
One thing I haven't tried is feeder tactics, mainly as I prefer pole or waggler.
Thanks for any advice!

flat float would maybe worth a try, they use them on the wye etc when in flood and realy moving, have you fished it yet this season.
