Finally got through today to sort the pegs out confirm numbers etc,A awful lot of rain came down last night here there was water standing all over the place ,and it fished accordingly plenty of small fish with movement all around my swim had a few smallish carp one about 5 lbs, and quite a few small stockies and about 3-4 f1 's caught on paste meat, caster and dead red maggots but where ever you fished the small roach/Rudd attacked the bait,I did not fish down the track as bites were plenty-full close in and over the far side,Ian and Paul fished just round the corner from me and fared about the same.roll on tomorrow.

I think with only 2oz in it it should be declared a draw !!! 6 months trophy each !! The scales probably vary by 2 oz day to day. or you do a shoot out at pool bridge with biggest fish on the day deciding it between you ! That could add a bit of extra spice to the match ! Any how well done both , an 8 lb odd fish is pretty good by anyone's standards on match tackle. Thought we might have had some real lumps today.
maybe next year we should make sure last match is on a "lumps water" to keep the tension going !!

No, Paul's won it fair and square- of course he probably caught it before the match had actually started when me and Phil were still having a natter putting the world to rights down at my peg.
