The Angling trust specifically mentions that intense use of high oil & fat baits are especially bad for carp.
So excessive use of meat, nuts & trout pellets in the winter months will increase the mortality rates.
Simply putting in a fishery only pellet ban is easy to enforce and pulls out a major source of excess oil.
From that starting point its moved on to well we know how much is going in to buffing their margins while there doing it & the buffing bit is what really annoys people as we all know how much a sack of pellets cost + there putting it in larger bags and getting you that way.
Other bans tend to be as an overreaction to someone being a jerk and sticking in 1/2 sack full of sweetcorn in or a tray of cheap dog food.
The fishery owners could really do with engaging more with thier customers more though there seems very little in the way of being able to give feedback

Me and dean can fish the extra hour, do we need to turn up in shorts and a vest due to the high temperature ? with high factor sun cream on the bonnet for those who are receding with no hair ?.
Looks like a good day on the bank for a change.

[quote author=" Warden" source="/post/297932/thread" Time we had a day at Westwood Rich you can chuck all your leftover pellets in there when you have done , [/quote] Im up for that Phil- I'll be taking a right motley collection of pellets to Decoy next weekend for 3 matches, should get rid of a few!
