Ive asked for a set of rules but I think its fishery pellets, own nets and a limit on total amount of bait you can use. I'll post them on here when I know anything.

Today was the Hooked for Heroes match at Woodlands near Thirsk and YF Social Match group was represented by myself, Stiglet, Ian and Jo Jessop and Slowhandgreg. Well we had every sort of weather from warm sunshine (coat off, YF Fleece off) then ten minutes later rain (fleece back on, coat back on) then sunshine (fleece off, coat off) and then it really turned on us- sleet, hailstones, rain- we had it all. And it was really cold. Coldest I've been since our match at Birkwood! The good news is that Steve Dunderdale aka Stiglet caught 72lb of carp and came second overall in the match picking up a nice envelope for his trouble. He was only one fish away from an overall win, as his next door neighbour weighed in at 81lb. Great performance Steve especially when you consider that there were around 70 anglers, many of who were venue regulars/ experts and some lads practising for Fisho'mania next month. Rest of us didn't fare as well, I had 19lb which was 3rd best on my side of Partridge Lake, lad next door caught two late carp on the method which were the size of whales to beat me. Greg and Ian had the one carp each whilst Jo decided that the nice warm car was a better option than her brolly lol! I was only one number off winning a rod in the raffle too. And the good news was that just today we raised around £1500 for Hooked for Heroes. So here's one for the s book- and just goes to show that we're not just a bunch of old f@rts like my wife reckons! Well done mate. Steve with his 2nd place envelope and the best smile on YF.

Thanks guys no me thinks I have peaked too soon .I will probably miss at least two matches of the summer series so I'm no threat to the serious contenders I will just go for the out right wins mmmm. I cannot believe Leeds form this season lose to relegated sides and beat promotion hopefuls crazy
