I was looking the other day for possible day ticket venues with vehicle access on the middle Trent, and came up with very little, and none that allow night fishing. That was until I hit on Ferry Farm at Thrumpton near Nottingham. Just one venue on miles and miles of the most amazing large Barbel river I know of. Surely that can't be right, can it? You can fish great lumps of the Tidal on day ticket thanks to Collingham AC and almost all of their water is available 24hrs a day. So does anyone know any other day ticket venues on the non tidal Trent that allow night fishing, preferably where you can park near to the fishing? BOF PS Also anyone know anything about about Ferry Farm for that matter?

That name rings a feint bell somewhere, blowed if I can remember what about, or in what connection, but if you can expand on your comment it may come back, Crofton. BOF PS There may also be a s yard length somewhere near, that's a day ticket job.

Hi I was talking to a man from Lincolnshire this afternoon (fishing the River Hull) and he told me Bob's Island was closed. Is this true as I fancy a go there but do not want to drive 60 miles for nothing. Thanks

It seems like there are several names for the Bob's island length or Scr apyard length as I knew it as many years back. Terrific length, used to throw up specimen fish of all kinds even back in the late 80's. Hope it isnt shut, its well worth a look. BOF
