Hi to you all, do any of you know of a fishery with 3 lakes at the bottom of drain lane out towards the land of nod, holme upon spalding moor, my brother was told about it and he wants to go, but we have no name or number. Wocky
Wocky, Obviously you know where the Land of Nod is, Holme-on Spalding- Moor, follow the lane for approx a mile and a half, and you'll see a sign for the fisheries, alternatively, turn off for Bursea on the H-O-S-M road from Howden, and that will take you there. Sorry, never fished it, BUT, have been told there are some BIG crucians in there. Can't for the life of me remember the name of the fishery.
The place you are referring to is called Lavericks pond at Wholsea Grange .ordenance survey map 106 grid ref 84 6 34 5. it has two ponds 1st. is 15 pegger 2nd 35 pegger both are mixed fisherys matches are allowed.
Directions from H-ON-S-M take the A614 towards Howden take the road left signed posted Land of Nod (cross road) after 150yds there is a equestrian center on the corner, turn right here.follow this road passing industrial estate on right h/s (old airfeild) keep going for around 2 mile.come to the fork in the road keep left .farm should be visible.go over canal and in to the farm yard,ponds thru hedge row.Have fished this place (35pegger).
