When I was working my clothes used to have a definite usage order- 1. work then 2. Decorating then 3. Gardening and then their last port of call 4. fishing. I keep trying to improve my bankside image but still look the most like a tramp on a day out. Just wish I could find my old donkey jacket- but then again it'd have to fit around a few more pounds nowadays!

Fishing clothing, in the late 60's/early 70's a group of us were moving between rivers,Derwent to Swale . We were stopped by a local Police patrol in his panda car. On asking why, he simply said " it was your attire that alerted me". To what was the reply. Do you wear your best suit to go fishing.? We don't." Carry on, thank you was all we were told.! To be right , by today's standards, the whole lot of use were dressed in clothing you would normally be only to happy to chuck in the bin.

Funnily enough Rich I had an old pair of blue overalls in the 70's -and went mad one week and bought a new pair of green overalls and got a lot of stick for weeks!!!! I've never found the justification to spend a fortune on a full set, I don't begrudge anyone that does, but I usually buy as I need them.
