As the tackle shop are one of our sponsors I'm giving this the thumbs up. They are having a tackle show and meet the top anglers day, tomorrow. Advertised as being there are Bob Nudd, Julian Cundiff, Nick Maddix, Les Thompson, Jamie Classic, Lee Kerry, Mark pitchers and Ricky Teale. There will be free entry into the store and free entry into a £200 Gift card raffle, as well as special deals and new product launches. Check out the link: www.bobcotackle.co.uk/

i visited the shop on Thurs to pick a few bits and bobs up and if you haven't been in for a while , what a change, i think the lay out now is far better than it has been, and i've never seen as much stock .

i like bobco but the only issue i have is some of the stuff has no price on it
it gets tirsome asking how much this or that is so much so i buy else were
i have mentioned it to staff a few times only to go in a week later and still no price on the item
so for me its no price...no sale

Know what you mean Liptugga, yes the lack of a price tag is inconvenient, but I think some of it may be down to policy. Caused by folk browsing at BOBco, where they can check the quality of an item, then taking the posted BOBco price to the internet shops and buying elsewhere. To me that is the ultimate in short-termism. Ok they might save a quid or two, but eventually the local shop will be no more. What makes me so sure? Well when I started fishing there were no less than 5 busy tackle shops within a 1/4 mile radius of Leeds city centre alone, with several more spread around the outskirts, how many are left? BOF

been here a couple of times on boxing day if we spend Christmas with family in west York's if you've not been on this day you should just for the laugh its a cash only day, there are some good bargains to be had . but the best part is watching guys in their 40s-50s-60s wandering round hands full of bank notes from Santa and not a spouse/partner in sight to supervise their shopping dozens of guys wondering around like kids in a sweetshop with glazed looks on their faces I find it amusing
