Hi all I just recently moved to hull and live on stoneferry right by the river hull have spent so much time on the river with no success am looking for places quite close or easy to get to via public transport as I don't currently drive miss fishing Birmingham loads seemed to be a lake every few miles but here can't seem to find anywhere close apart from the drain and river the drain seems to be full of fish but my bait just gets munched to bits by small fish want to start catching carp and bream again but I just ain't got a clue where to go any help would be greatly appreciated

Have a look at the East Yorkshire venues section on the front site here buddy, that should give you some Ideas. You are a bit restricted with no transport in that area but there are some park lakes in Hull that can throw up a few surprises and you should be able to get buses out Beverley, Leven, Brandsburton way. Try the drain down bankside, thats not far from you. Then you have Clough Rd near Dunelm mills, some nice pegs cut out there.
River wise, anywhere around Kingswood in summer is a good start, even down as far as Ennerdale. I would not bother so much in winter as the fish tend to move further upstream, Beverley around the shipyard stretch is a favourite winter venue.
