Without going into vast paragraphs of explanation could you answer the following in short answers please.
1. The revenue generated from fishing license sales is expected to be around or above 20 million pounds for 2011/2012 im informed. Could you list the last five years worth of revenue in millions, and give a brief breakdown on how much was spent purely on fishing related matters.

I'd also like to know the proportion spent on game fishing as against coarse fishing. Then to know the proportion received from each branch of fishing in license fees.

Bostonman. Here’s our national income from rod licence sales over the last 5 years. 2006/2007 20,504,768 2007/2008 21,662,806 2008/2009 22,834,340 2009/2010 25,409,157 2010/2011 25,397,472 All of the money raised through the sale of rod licences goes back into improving fisheries. As a result of these actions there will be a knock on improvement to angling. You can see more details of how we spend the money here on our web site www.environment-agency.gov.uk/homeandleisure/recreation/fishing/106684.aspxPete Turner
