yep, just around the corner mate, not a bad place rearly, bit of allsorts, just a nice mixed fishery with a bit of everything in them and the odd bigger carp, now only trouble is you can only make your self a new member on the first sunday of february, and renew memberships on sunday nights in january at kirkby pit club. also they not too keen on big fish men, it run by old miners you see and they stuck in their ways

deepends what your after, if you want a nice quite mature place with a mix of fish then ye its not too far from you, only 1 rod and line, barbless hooks and no keepnets, you dont get many kids on too cos the old boys dont like em lol, they gota be with an adult

Thanks for the info Binner, the old man was trying to talk me into going to sign up this coming Sunday. I don't think I'll get the use out of it personally!
Gonna try and get into the rivers a bit more this year!
Thanks again mate!

Baz, its a bit complicated giving directions from leeds mate, but if you come of the m62, at glasshoughton and pick up the A628 in pontefract, signed ackworth, in about 7 mile ish, pick up the B6422, about a mile on your left is a iron gate, go through the gate and follow track to the ponds.

word of caution, there is two turnings with gates, one dont go anywere near the ponds, then the gate is supposed to be kept locked and members can buy a key( very cheep a quid i think) the thing is its sometimes left open then when the next person comes they lock it, so i would park at the end and walk down
