Planning to go to Holland mid-may to a place called Het Plashuis. I have checked the web-site, but was just wondering if anyone has been before or has any information on the place. Thanks

I have not fished it myself but i have heard from a few guys that have. They said it was a easy water but a lot of small carp. Personally i wouldn't pay to fish any water in holland there are thousands of free waters that are as good as het plashuis or better. Also a quick translation for you plas is used for 2 words in holland it can mean pee or water huis is house i will let you put the 2 together lol.

Have been the last 4 years to Citta Romana at Hellavatsluis (spelling?) Have had some good bream catch's but have also had days when you struggle, thats fishing I suppose. I would recomend to anyone that as not been before. Nice easy drive to Hull, good night on board and then 20 minute drive at the other side to the digs.

Returned from Holland on Sunday after a week at the Citta Romana complex nr Hellevetsluis.. Fishing wasnt in top form. The week we were there was very hot straight of the back of a long cold spell and many of the bream that hadn't spawned because of the cold were now having a good go. Most people seemed to be focusing on the main Voorne stretch (usual places around the pump house) but to be honest it was unusually quiet with English Anglers. We don't actually like fishing the main Voorne with main roads both sides and prefer quieter locations and managed to get information on a few that were fishing okay and you dodnt have to be there at 4:00am . Had some good days fishing with a few 70+'s and had a day hunting for the Ide and i managed one just short of 5lb. The day the bream were just not having it we bashed the silvers for nets of 20lb+ of 3-6oz roach (lots of them and much better than waiting on the bream to take interest)... We stayed at the Citta Romana for the first time and for quality of accommodation i just cant fault it for the money. Really nice 3 bedroom bungalows and cottages for a very comfortable stay. There is a pub and restaurant on site but we weren't taken with them and visited the Shamrock down the Road (20min walk) really good food and great Landlord (called Chris). He actually offered to pick us up from the Citta Romana and drive us back to save walking but to be honest a good walk after a few pints clears the head for the next day.... Had a night in Hellevetsluis, good meal and plenty of beer and ended up walking staggering back to the digs (nice and safe on the cycle paths) but took well over an hour and around 3 miles. Food and drink is still expensive at 4euro a pint (£3.50 ish) and 14.00euro for ribs (£12.50ish). Hope to have some photos soon once i get copies from my mates. All in all and excellent week, good company, great laughs and were already looking at next years dates. Oh, the four of us have a mini match over the week with total weight counting and i won with not much under 300lb

Few pics as promised..... Photo from back of digs.. Bit of a lake but doesnt look suitable for fishing. Supplies.. Saved a small fortune keeping a few beers stocked in the fridge.. Bit cloudy and chily on first day - fishing also a bit slow with only a few bream caught. Starting to war up a bit Dutch Sky... Although you never really heard them, sky was always full of planes and trails stayed like this all day long. Looke dmuch mre impressive to th enaked eye though. Some people just cant keep up ;D

Casters are banned in holland ? Well tackle shops near me sell them true about the catapults though.
