Hi psx3012,

I was at Non Go Bye yesterday, on the main lake, there was quite a few Roach and Rudd coming out to maggots and the odd carp on bread in the margins/far bank where the dying reeds are.

It was frozen after a cold night but eventually thawed...

Best place would be Birkwood, main lake is stuffed with fish...... surely you couldn't fail there!

i'm really tempted but i'd be gutted if i blanked again. any ideas on the methods that caught these weights, i would assume it was on the pole tight up to the island. what baits did the trick?

i know the feeling. i hate blanking, and get a [image] on and keep going back till i dont blank!!
swillington willl usually catch on lakes 1,2 and 3 to maggot, castor. birkwood is a bit dodgy imo, still a bit cold it seems for them. tho the trout have been coming out on emily's
mushroom ponds south milford got plenty ide roach in there. could be a good idea, i've never blanked there. hope this helps :)

fished 1st pond peg 12, if your going to fish this venue then you need to do your homework. see what pegs have been pulling the weight as they change all the time. i would probably go there next time there is a sunday match on and watch the regulars. the bloke who runs the place always answers qustions on this forum and he is a great bloke!! peg 14 caught a few nice carp and a goldfish, peg 4 and 6 were getting nice carp as well. all i can say is take maggots and do your homework. one of the nicest places i have been to in a long time. i'm looking forward to going back in the summer!
